JUFA WHO?
A JUFA is a HOBY alumn under the age of 21 serving as a junior staff facilitator (JUFA). The JUFAs are essential for the success of each Iowa HOBY seminar.
JUFA WHAT?
As a JUFA you will create the energy and excitement that HOBY is so well known for. JUFAs will be the first to meet and greet the ambassadors on the day of arrival. JUFAs will lead songs, chants and cheers. JUFAs lead by example by role modeling great PMI (positive mental attitude). JUFAs support the senior staff facilitators (SEFAs) by running errands, gathering supplies, making signs, etc.
JUFA WHY?
Those who chose to participate in HOBY beyond their ambassador year help to provide others with the OUTSTANDING experience that they remember. Also, JUFAs are given the chance to re-connect with the friends that they have met throughout the state.
JUFAs make HOBY a fun, exciting, and engaging experience for the Ambassadors AND THEY HAVE FUN DOING IT!
